2025 You-Pick

There’s something special about being able to show your kids where their food comes from. Many of us grew up picking vegetables and fruits from our parents’ or grandparents’ gardens, but we seem to be getting more and more disconnected as time goes on. We’re offering an opportunity for that to change!

Starting in 2025, we want to use our you-pick to help our neighbors. We will be open on Saturdays and offering you-pick raspberries for a suggested donation to a local charity instead of collecting money ourselves. We want Saturdays to be a time for play, community, good food, and helping others. We will not make any money on Saturdays and instead encourage you to come on out and support a local food pantry while keeping some fresh raspberries yourself.

We will also have tractor rides on some Saturdays as well as a nature play area, flowers to see and pick, and more

How does it work?

The Farm: Our farm is in Apple Valley in the middle of the suburbs, so we recommend walking, biking, and carpooling as much as possible! Not only will the farm have our you-pick, we also want to create a fun and safe place for families to come experience the outdoors.

The Animals: Come visit our Nigerian Dwarf goats, alpacas, rabbits, and chickens who will rotate to the farm area on various dates.

The Fun: We have a small nature play area with obstacles, toys, and more. Spend time getting to know neighbors, getting some vitamin D, and getting that extra energy out.

The You-Pick: Our raspberry plants are starting to mature and we hope to have a lot of those for picking in 2025 including thornless raspberries for kids!

The Trails: We do not have a huge space to grow in, but we have some short walking trails around the farm where you can check out our smaller garden where we test out new experiments and unique crops such as mushrooms and cherries. You can also learn more by filling out a farmer log activity with your family and see how a small farm like ours works.
